Martín joined our Company in August 2018. He has more than 25 years experience in the oil industry, working in field development and operations. Before joining GeoPark, he worked for Petrolera Argentina San Jorge y Chevron San Jorge in international operations, including in Argentina, the United States and Venezuela. At Chevron, Martín led heavy oil operations at fields in Venezuela, and was previously responsible for water injection, CO2 flooding and unconventional operations. Martín has a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and an MBA from the IAE Business School at Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
