In 2023 we integrated and evaluated our Occupational Health and Safety Management and Environmental Management Systems for oil and gas exploration and production activities in Colombia, certifying GeoPark to the ISO 45001:2018 standard for the first time, and to the ISO 14001:2015 standard for the second consecutive cycle after previous certification in 2017.

The Colombian Institute of Technical Standards and Certification (Icontec) verified our 2022 greenhouse gas inventory in Colombia in accordance with the ISO 14064 standard for organizational carbon footprints.
We achieved the Equipares Silver Award, the third oil and gas operator in Colombia to do so. The Company earned the certification after technical standards and certification institute ICONTEC gave us a 91% rating in the implementation of the SGIG gender equality management system.
MSCI awarded us an “AA” rating and ‘Leader’ status in its 2024 ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Leaders Index as a result of the reduction in our greenhouse gas emissions intensity and having a smaller water footprint.
In 2023 and for the second consecutive year we are members of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), which tracks the performance of public companies in disclosing their gender-equality metrics and efforts.
