As part of its commitment to improve its neighbors’ quality of life, GeoPark has donated computer items and therapeutic equipment to the Tauramena Integral Employment Center to support people with disabilities.

The equipment will benefit 200 people with disabilities – 95 women, 75 men and 30 children – supporting their social inclusion by providing access to tools that improve their quality of life and promote their autonomy.

Support for physical disabilities will be provided to 100 people through therapeutic and mobility equipment, while adaptation of the computer room with educational materials will support 90 people with cognitive disabilities.

GeoPark worked with the Tauramena Mayor’s Office and its Social Manager Deicy Olarte to make the donation, which allows people with disabilities to develop their skills to integrate more effectively and become more independent.

“We help improve the living conditions of our neighboring communities, creating opportunities for everyone’s development and social inclusion. The equipment we have provided allows people with disabilities to fully participate in society,” said Johanna Salcedo, from GeoPark’s Neighbor Relations team.

GeoPark underscores its commitment to its neighboring communities with this initiative, and continues to develop projects that promote social development and inclusion, aligned with the Company’s purpose of Creating Energy for Life and its Corporate Commitment to Equality, Inclusion and Diversity.
