GeoPark is Included in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook for the First Time and is the Oil & Gas Upstream & Integrated Industry Mover

GeoPark is one of 20 companies with activities in Colombia included in the global index of best sustainability performance

GeoPark, a leading independent energy company with over 20 years of successful operations across Latin America, is proud to announce that for the first time it has been included in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook. Being included in the Yearbook consolidates GeoPark’s leadership and underscores its progress in social, environmental and governance aspects, which since the Company was established has been guided by its SPEED value system.

Featuring in the Yearbook comes after three consecutive years of assessment and puts GeoPark among the companies in the world with the best sustainability performance, of which only 15 are in the Oil & Gas Upstream & Integrated sector. GeoPark was furthermore named as the Industry Mover in its sector, an honor awarded to companies that have participated for at least two consecutive years in the index and which in their respective sectors have increased their score by the highest amount.

Other Colombian companies in the Yearbook include environmental, social and governance management leaders such as Bancolombia, the Energia Bogota Group and the Argos Group.

GeoPark’s highest scores were in the Transparency and Reporting, Business Ethics, and Energy and Labor Practices sections; topics that are part of its robust sustainability framework and which help meet the goals in ‘North Star’, its corporate strategy. Some of the principal actions that contributed to this exceptional result are:

1. Reducing power consumption by approximately 49% between 2022 and 2023, from 1,064,729 MWh to 537,025 MWh, by implementing energy efficiency processes and using cleaner sources of energy
2. Implementing the Company’s first Double Materiality analysis, identifying eight issues on which GeoPark will focus its sustainability management
3. About 50% of executive positions – those within one and two levels of reporting to the CEO – were held by women in 2023

Companies must rank among the top 15% performers in their industry to be included in the S&P Sustainability Yearbook, which in its 2025 edition evaluated 7,690 companies, of which only 780 scored high enough to be in the Yearbook.
