Media Room >GeoPark organizes Casanare reforestation driveNovember 18, 2021 Casanare, Colombia – To help meet Colombia’s national reforestation goal of planting 180 million trees by 2022, GeoPark planted more than 4,400 saplings in the municipalities of Tauramena and Villanueva in Casanare department.Together with the Orinoquia Regional Autonomous Corporation (Corporinoquia), Tauramena and Villanueva municipalities and the Orinoquia Biodiversa Foundation (FOB), GeoPark organized tree-planting days in October and November in which dozens of people from public authorities, neighboring communities, partners and GeoPark staff took part.
