In a new operational milestone in Casanare, Colombia, GeoPark has produced the 200 millionth barrel of oil from the Llanos 34 block, underscoring the block’s strategic relevance for the Company, the development of oil-producing regions, and Colombia.

GeoPark has discovered 13 fields in Llanos 34 since first finding oil there in May 2012, including Tigana and Jacana, two of Colombia’s largest oil fields. The block’s cumulative production comes after drilling over 250 wells, of which approximately 20 were drilled in 2024.

As part of its commitment to developing Llanos 34 and its portfolio in Colombia in general, GeoPark’s 2025 Work Program includes $80-90 million investment in Colombia in drilling 5-7 gross development, appraisal and injection wells and building infrastructure and facilities. In February, GeoPark announced a 480% pro-forma 2P reserve replacement. Llanos 34 has material net 2P reserves of 64.5 mmboe.

“Llanos 34 was a catalyst for GeoPark’s growth and has played a big part in it, and the asset is a benchmark for safe, efficient and sustainable operations. Today we celebrate a collective achievement, as Llanos 34 reflects the talent, dedication and commitment of thousands of people whose daily efforts make possible a safe, efficient and responsible operation. To every worker, partner, contractor and community that has been part of this story, we give 200 million thanks,” said Milton Reyes, GeoPark’s Llanos Assets Director.

GeoPark has built robust infrastructure to ensure reliability, safety and efficiency aligned with sustainable results, and in 2019 it connected Llanos 34 to the Oleoducto de Los Llanos (ODL) pipeline, establishing a strategic oil transport route. In 2022, GeoPark connected the block to the national grid through a 37km, 115 kV power transmission line and building the Tigana and Jacana substations, allowing the supply of clean energy from the grid that together with a 9.9 MW solar plant significantly reduces the block’s environmental footprint.

Llanos 34 has furthermore pushed and partnered in territorial development, and through its investment in the block GeoPark has built 28 km of roads and paved a further 130 km. More than $15 million in socio-environmental investments have contributed to improving the quality of life of more than 350,000 people in neighboring communities, and 3,400 local workers were employed in Llanos 34 operations in 2024, representing 86% of the total workforce.

GeoPark gives special thanks to its partner Parex Resources for being part of this journey from the first barrel. The 200 million milestone starts a new chapter for Llanos 34, which will continue to play a key role in GeoPark’s strategy and to be an example of a world-class operation in the heart of Colombia.
