At a recent meeting with Casanare governor Cesar Ortiz Zorro and his team, GeoPark made a progress report to share updates and coordinate efforts with the Government to increase the impact of the Company’s investments in Casanare.“We firmly believe that progress must be shared. That is why, beyond our operation, we work hand in hand with communities and local authorities to promote projects that truly transform lives,” GeoPark’s Nature and Neighbors Manager Anibal Fernandez de Soto said.GeoPark’s investment in Casanare in 2025 focuses on four areas:Basic sanitation and environment: Construction of a domestic wastewater treatment plant and a sewerage system in Caribayona, Villanueva, which will benefit more than 1,300 people and safeguard water and public health.Road infrastructure and connectivity: Investment of more than 14 billion pesos to improve the La Vara-Soceagro road and strengthen the Caribayona and Pinalito bridges to improve connectivity, in partnership with Parex and the Government of Casanare. Furthermore, GeoPark will soon donate construction machinery to Tauramena municipality.Education and welfare: Through the Works for Taxes mechanism, GeoPark will provide furniture to 39 schools in Hato Corozal and La Salina, benefiting some 4,000 students. The Company is working in partnership with the Escuela Nueva Foundation to improve education provision in seven rural CRIEET schools in Tauramena, benefiting over 500 children. Additionally, a GeoPark university scholarship program run in partnership with UNAD provides higher education opportunities to more than 20 young people.Energy access: GeoPark will supply more than 1,000 solar PV solutions to families in remote areas of Monterrey and Paz de Ariporo, giving access to clean and reliable energy. The Company has already taken this technology to more than 30 families in the village of La Lucha, in Tauramena, helping improve their quality of life.“Our commitment to Casanare is long-term.
