GeoPark, a leading independent energy company in Latin America, underscores its commitment to improving living conditions in the regions where it operates in Colombia, and to mark the International Day of Education announces the donation of almost 7,000 study kits to children in neighboring communities in Casanare, Meta and Putumayo.Giving more scholars the necessary materials to start the academic year is part of a comprehensive vision that GeoPark has created throughout the years that it has operated in Colombia, firmly believing that education drives sustainable development. In addition to providing study kits, which in 2025 were made with recycled materials, the Company has implemented educational projects that have positively impacted thousands of students in the country. The projects include:Giving university scholarships to 20 Casanare students in partnership with the National Open and Distance University (UNAD), allowing them to access university education and empowering new generations to lead regional development.Equipping schools in Putumayo and Casanare as a matter of priority. GeoPark has allocated over 21 billion pesos through the Works for Taxes mechanism to improve the educational infrastructure in both departments, benefiting more than 13,600 children.In Meta and in partnership with local institutions, GeoPark renovated a toy library in Cabuyaro, transforming a playing and learning area to benefit more than 2,200 children by promoting integral early childhood development.In Casanare, Tauramena, GeoPark partnered with the Escuela Nueva Foundation to strengthen rural education through innovative methodologies that benefit over 530 students in neighboring communities. Also in Tauramena, the Company opened Casanare’s first Green Classroom, which was designed to promote learning through contact with nature, emphasizing sustainability and environmental protection to students and their families.“At GeoPark, we firmly believe that education is the foundation for building more equitable and prosperous societies.
