Guias Colombia Acknowledges GeoPark for its Commitment to Promoting Human Rights

Guias Colombia has acknowledged GeoPark’s use of technology and digital media in raising stakeholder awareness about the relevance of human rights in business through effective, transparent and impactful communication. The honor underscores GeoPark’s human rights commitment and demonstrates the transformative power of technology to promote respect for its stakeholders and their well-being.

Guias Colombia is a multi-stakeholder initiative that includes companies, civil society organizations, the Colombian State, and international organizations. Its mission is to manage knowledge and promote responsible business behavior that integrates respect for human rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL).

Respecting human rights is essential and transversal at GeoPark and is foundational in creating value for all stakeholders. This vision is underpinned by a corporate commitment to respect human rights, which is aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

The respective Ambassadors to Colombia of Canada and Switzerland, Marianick Tremblay and Eric Mayoraz, were among the guests at the High-Level Assembly at which Guias Colombia highlighted the commitment of GeoPark and nine other public and private entities to promoting human rights. GeoPark congratulates these organizations for their invaluable contribution and reiterates its commitment to continue working with Guias Colombia to strengthen responsible business practices in the country.
